If you are good in selling products and you want to venture into a profitable venture online even if you do not have a product of your own, you can actually venture into affiliate marketing. To help you make a good start, below is a simple guide that you might find useful in making money as an affiliate.

1. Setting up your website. Choose a profitable niche. This is one key to making good profits online. Choosing profitable niches allows you to also promote products that a lot of people are interested in. Choose a professional looking website or a site that can catch the attention of your target audience. If you are not quite familiar with the technical knowledge on building websites, you can also hire a web programmer to build the website for you. You can even start with free web hosting sites as well and buy a domain later.

2. Work on your site. Even before signing up to affiliate programs, it is important that you have worked on your site first. Keep in mind that some affiliate programs may only accept affiliates that have already established sites and a good volume of traffic. Thus, if you are new online, you have to work on establishing your site, adding good quality content and getting traffic as well.

3. Finding affiliate programs. Aside from Amazon, which has achieved good success with affiliate marketing, you can actually find a lot of merchants that are into affiliate marketing. In fact, you can find directories and databases of companies that accept affiliates. You can also visit company websites and check out if they accept affiliates. This is often indicated in their websites as well.

4. Choosing products to promote. One of the crucial steps in making money as an affiliate is choosing the right product to promote. Of course, you have to make sure that the product you promote is something that is sellable online. Make sure also that the products you promote falls on the niche of your website. If you have a website on weddings, you can promote products that have something to do with weddings, or else, you will not get good results with your product promotions.

5. Maximizing profits. You can maximize profits in affiliate marketing by promoting multiple products from various merchants as well. Promoting a number of products allow you to make multiple profits as well especially if you get to sell a number of different products at the same time.

Keep in mind too that it may take time before you get to have your profits in affiliate marketing. Making money as an affiliate is not instant. For some affiliates, results may show after a few days or weeks but for some, it may take time before you can see profits coming in. With more products you promote, you can also expect a lot of returns as well.

There’s a saying that I’m sure you know – “those that fail to plan, plan to fail”.

This has never been truer than trying to create an online business.
A lack of fundamental business building knowledge is really the primary cause for so much time wasting.

Here is an email I received from Tiffany Dow. It seems the Rich Jerk, a self-proclaimed guru who has taken other people’s money for far too long, has confessed that most gurus out there are out for your money and that’s it…

Stick with someone who cares, who’s honest, and offers the right tools (Chris).

Here’s the email:

(Tiff’s comment): You know how I talk about how seedy many of these gurus they take pride in scamming you, how they scam each other, etc? I was absolutely shocked today when I stumbled upon a blog post by Kelly Felix (aka: Rich Jerk) that said these things:

(Kelly) “I also knew less than 5% of my customers were successful. I would rationalize it by thinking those sub-5% were the only people who took action, as so many other marketers do. But this simply isn’t true. It’s just a cop-out.”

Tiff again: How many times have you seen the “well they didn’t take action” cop out? I can’t even count that high!

(Kelly) “After all, the people who bought the $10k coaching that I outsourced sure “took action”. A $10k committment is a HUGE “action”. And I simply got my $3k cut from the coaching floor and passed the responsibility onto them to fulfill upon their promises. Rarely did I check up on any of those individual customers or receive a glowing testimonial about the coaching. But I didn’t
care.”

Tiff again: Exactly. They take your money, they deliver”something” and DO NOT CARE whether you ever succeed. They DO NOT CARE.

(Kelly) “Selling with scarcity tactics, such as “only 12 copies left”, or “only 5 minutes left”, or “re-opening the doors for a short time” … it’s all garbage marketing. Even if the statement happens to be true, why limit perfectly abundant information?”

Tiff again: Exactly! I hate stupid scarcity tactics. Why use them? We all know it’s not true. Well, those in the IM industry at least.

(Kelly) “And here’s an insight for you: at guru masterminds, do you think we talked about how wonderful our customers were? I wish that were the case. Looking back… how dare I talk sh*t about my customers. As if I owned them and was doing them some huge favor.
It’s disgusting. And not only was there customer-bashing, but we literally complained about how new rules constantly made it tougher for us to sell people using bullsh*t tactics.”

Tiff again: Scum is too nice of a word to describe what goes on behind the scenes with these gurus. I have told you how a well known marketer I ghostwrote for for YEARS had me create a product from one of his seminars. He sent me the recordings and guess what I heard? He was bashing me to the entire group – talking about how he
outsourced to a really good writer but made her feel inferior on purpose and told her certain projects should command as much money. I confronted him about it and he laughed it off. I was humiliated and MAD. I quit
writing for him. They’re laughing at YOU too – Kelly admitted it! And yet you continue buying from these guru blowhards and working as an affiliate for them, too!

Now for the best part of his blog post – LISTEN UP:

(Kelly) “Be suspicious of push-button solutions. Be suspicious of products with names like “Underground grim reaper autopilot gold bar instant millionaire wealth generator.” Be suspicious of anything that says “earn up to 8 billion dollars per second.” I know it all seems like a no-brainer but people are actually still
buying this stuff. Be suspicious of product launches. Be suspicious of cut and paste emails you receive from 42 different people. Be suspicious of anything that “everyone is talking about”. Be
suspicious of anything with a bonus or “downsell”. Be suspicious of ME.”

Tiff again: I read this and I swear I want to scream. Yeah it’s great that he’s saying all this now. How much money has been LOST from hard working people because of HIM and those like him? I love the last line. I love it. And I am, Kelly – I am. I’m even suspicious of why you wrote this blog post. I smell a product coming on.

And look at one of the comments “John” posted on this blog post:

“While it is better than marketing with fear, this whole post is a cleaver marketing tactic in its own. Bad guy gone good who can now help you with his new product. This whole post is geared towards getting people to trust YOU and not others because you are calling then out on their marketing tactics.”

EXACTLY JOHN!!

Unless they’ve been honest with you from day one, fear them and don’t believe them. Period.

There’s so much slime out there you need to take a shower after working online for five minutes.

If you want to own a blog that drives large volumes of traffic to your website, there are specific qualities that you should adhere to.

Outlined in this article are the qualities which you must have if you wish to be a successful blogger.

1.    A serious blogger is hardworking. As you know, you need to write content for your blog regularly. This means that you will need to do some writing, which requires some effort. You can’t generate huge volumes of traffic to your blog and website if you are lazy and are not prepared to spend some time writing your content. 5.    A successful blogger never gives up. It takes time and effort to drive traffic to your blog or website and start making some sales. Consistent blogging is therefore essential. Never give up.

If you have these five qualities discussed above, you can be a successful blogger, generate high volumes of traffic and make huge online profits.

Life is pretty much hectic. Everyone is so busy.  All of us need more time.It’s so important that you remember this when a visitor arrives at your site.

When someone clicks on your webpage they are on their own — there are no salesmen to guide them through.You have to grab their attention immediately — or they will be gone(never to return).

It’s REALLY important that you remember this — and it’s REALLY important that you make it easy for your visitor.

The one and only thing you want – is for your visitor to TAKE SOME SORT OF ACTION. This will either be:

* Sign Up To Your List (which I always recommend)
* Make A Purchase

But before your visitor does either of the above — you need to put yourself in your visitor’s shoes.

Why should he sign up? Why should he buy?

Would you?

A lot of sites make it so complicated for their visitors. Too many choices — too many distractions.

* Treat your visitor like a 4th Grader.

* Tell them — literally — what your site has to offer.

* Take them by the hand — and tell them what to do.

I mean it! Spell it out – word for word. I do! I have this following message on one of my sites:

Since adding this message — I have seen an increase in the amount of visitors that take action and sign up!

This stuff works!

If you can make a video — great. Tell your visitor what to do.

If you want them to sign up to get your free eBook, literally say ‘…I want you to sign up to get your free eBook…’

Treat your visitor like a 4th Grader.

Tell them what will happen next. If they are going to be sent an email with a link to the free gift — TELL THEM!

If you can make the whole ‘visiting-your-site’ experience as easy and as simple as possible — you will have achieved what most website owners do not

And that is a customer that is happy to deal with you.

Ok so the Internet has become such a huge and valuable source of information and an extremely popular purchasing tool for today’s consumers. A click of mouse and consumers can find just about anything and everything from make money online products to services on the web and they can shop and compare for best prices at any time of the day or night.

So just for  the newbies on my list, “we were all new to this internet marketing stuff once” and no I didn`t have a clue either, but if you have decided to build a reputable home/internet based business you will probably be aware that you must promote yourself as an authority in some field or niche.
and you will have been told to promote yourself as the “expert” in order to build a list of subscribers.So how do you do that?

You could just lie. But the truth is that lies have a habit of coming back to haunt you.

If you lie in this industry it WILL come back and bite your backside, without a shadow of a doubt. It isn`t necessary to lie about how much you make or your how you get your leads or how much experience you have in order to draw people into your business opportunity. Simply promote and share the knowledge that you have, be honest about the details.
Most people will not tolerate being lied to and it will be the downfall of you and your home based business if you do it. If you believe in what you are offering, that belief will be turned into an air of confidence and portray you as a leader, that`s what you need to do. If you are promoting a real legitimate  business opportunity then you have some very important things to offer that no one else can, that`s if you are doing it correctly.

1. your legitimate offer and the fact that you believe totally in it will benefit your followers. So, turn that belief into confidence and use that confidence in your marketing efforts.
– but be careful, you must to portray confidence and sincerity, not arrogance.

2. Even if you haven`t realised it you will have gained massive amounts of knowledge from everything that you have looked at on the internet, every piece of “biz-op” stuff you have waded through will have implanted some ideas and knowledge without you even realising it, blogs, articles, mentors, Email courses and training materials from the first day that you decided that you wanted an internet business will have given you more knowledge than you realise.
So this means that you have massive amounts of knowledge that others don’t have and you can in all honestly share that knowledge through article writing, blog posting, twittering, advertising etc  and all of this without lying – you are simply giving others the knowledge that you have gained in that particular niche.

You will have also learned by your mistakes so make sure your followers are aware that you too did make mistakes and let them learn from YOUR mistakes.
Help them to avoid making those same mistakes by educating them. You have knowledge that others do not have so use it to develop a belief in yourself and stamp your authority in the industry.

You can build from the smallest amount of knowledge. There are millions of people out there that are looking for the knowledge that you have on your niche. If you are genuine and honest and offer products that will be of benefit to people you will benefit as well.

A lie is a lie is a lie, but belief in your ability is confidence and that will carry through to your followers/subscribers. Confidence will turn into leadership and then you will get followers.

Offer sincerity and you will get it back tenfold
